Major offensive efforts by several players, led by RF Sean Pisarski, who got five RBI, a three-run home run, 2-4, and three runs scored. 3B Keaton Briscoe got two hits, a stolen base. and an RBI in his first game as a Thunderbird. DH Nic Lendvoy and 2B Nic Lindsay both hit two-run home runs.
Freshman David Otterman got a win in his first-ever appearance. He came on in the fifth inning in relief of starter Danny Britton-Foster, went three innings, allowed one run on one hit. Britton-Foster allowed one earned run on five hits. Freshman Cody Chartrand was sharp in the eighth inning, striking out two of the three batters he faced. Matt Bannister pitched the ninth, struck out one, allowed one hit.
