The players available for Team Canada was restricted somewhat by the fact that the players had to put up a significant amount of money for their own expenses.

Here's a heads-up: There will be a similar Team Canada effort, coached by Terry McKaig, at the World Baseball Challenge in Prince George July 16-26. http://www.worldbaseball.ca/.

I didn't even know about this awesome event until now? Where was the advertising?? And looking at the roster and statistics, is this the best Canada has to offer?? 3/4 of this roster is play for schools that play in below par leagues. Sure they might hit 400. at there schools but that is off of 80 mph pitching.. Its no wonder that no one hit a homerun at this tournament.. It might have been the first time they've seen over 80 mph.. Bottom Line. The selection process was a joke.
