First game: A result characterized by Coach McKaig as "Our best game in a long time." Scott Webster certainly had a career-best pitching performance: he went six innings, struck out two, walked two, and hit only one batter. Kurtis Schumacher, Ashton Florko, and Andrew LaFleur took the Thunderbirds the rest of the way.

3B Bob Foerster hit a two-run home run, was 2-4, with five RBI. LF Matt Chester was 4-6 with two doubles and three runs scored.

3B Jordan Pandoff and CF Jon Syrnyk hit home runs. DH Scott Webster was 2-4 with two RBI. Burke got the loss, and Chad Trevison, who held the Birds to four hits over 5 2/3 innings, got the win.
